You must be a current member of the CVACTA at the time the scores are earned for your points to count. You must also fulfill a 4 hour service requirement to be eligible for year end awards. You must turn in our official form, signed by the event organizer. We will use your top 4 placings to determine final scores.
We will offer Champion through 6th place in the following divisions:

Scores must be reported on the score report form and received by the scores coordinator within 45 days of the event. Please have the event secretary sign your report form.
Scores from all USEA recognized events will be accepted and scored as 10 points for 1st place through 3 points for 8th place.
The following unrecognized events will be accepted with scores ranging from 8 points for 1st place through 3 points for 6th.
The Starter Horse Trials by Virginia Horse Trials
(including the Horse Trials at the VA Horse Center, Cedar Creek and Wavertree Hall)
Calais Horse Trials
Deep Run Hunt Club Pony Club Horse Trials
The following unrecognized events will be accepted and scored with 6 points for 1st place through 1 point for 6th place.
Virginia Horse Trials Combined Tests
Campbell Springs Farm Combined Tests
VADA Charlottesville Combined Tests
Farmington Hunt Club Combined Tests
Speakeasy Farm Winter Blues Series Combined Tests
The Board reserves the right to add events to this list as the year progresses. Any combined test hosted by the Association or by an Association member will count towards year end points.
HOW TO FULFILL VOLUNTEER HOURS REQUIREMENT
- Any member who serves on the board of the Association for a year is awarded their 4 service hours.
- Any member who is a committee chairperson is awarded their 4 volunteer hours.
- Donate the use of your facility for an Association function.
- Coordinate a clinic for the Association.
- Volunteer hours for any of the following unrecognized events will also count toward your volunteer hours, just be sure to turn in your completed and signed volunteer form.
